Stretched Out Earlobes? There’s a Fix for That
Love oversized earrings and trendy chandeliers? If you are like most women, you have probably started to notice that your earlobes have been stretching out over time. Luckily, there is a fix for that now!
While most anti-ageing treatments ignore the ears, dermal fillers can be a great option for turning back the clock and reversing sagging.
Looking to fill in your stretched out earlobes? Here is what you should know about dermal fillers for your ears.
How Do Dermal Fillers for Ears Work?
Dermal fillers are a safe and simple solution for restoring volume. The dermal fillers we use at the Medispa Institute are hyaluronic acid based, which is something that your skin naturally produces. As we get older, however, our skin produces less hyaluronic acid. This means sagging and, in the case of ears, increasingly large gaps around piercings.
By adding dermal fillers to your ears, you can reduce sagging by increasing hyaluronic acid. This soft gel feels and looks completely natural.
What Is It Like to Get Dermal Fillers for Your Ears?
The process is incredibly quick and painless. You will only need one or two injections around the piercing in your ear. Most women report feeling nothing or, at worst, a quick pinch. The whole thing takes about five minutes.
Once the dermal filler is around your ear piercing, it will prevent your delicate ear lobes from ripping. That means that you can wear your favourite earrings without risking sagging.
Every patient is different but most women find that they just need one or two touch-ups of dermal fillers per year.
Are Dermal Fillers Safe?
Yep! At the Medispa Institute in Dee Why, we only use hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. While other clinics use more permanent types of dermal filler, we find that other variations of dermal fillers can be too risky. It is possible to get an infection and end up needing a surgical excision with these other types. On the other hand, with hyaluronic acid based dermal filler, it’s possible to use a hyaluronidase injection to quickly resolve fillers, in the rare case that a patient has a bad reaction.
