Skin exfoliation is essential

Facial exfoliation involves physically removing dead skin cells from the skin with either a topical product which can be abrasive or non-abrasive, in clinic Microdermabrasion or chemical solutions containing active ingredients in high concentration. Over exfoliation of the skin can equate to skin irritation or even unwanted break outs.

Benefits

There are great benefits to exfoliating the skin particularly when done properly and regularly.  Dead cells are shifted from the epidermis allowing skin to behave in a healthier fashion, look far more luminous, smoother, finer and even gives your make up to stay on longer and look beautiful.  Controlled exfoliation also assists with the congestion of acne, blocked and open pores, fine lines and pigmentation.  Too much exfoliation and too frequently can cause inflammation particularly for acne skins.

Different approaches

Mechanical

Fruit Enzyme Mask Aspect Gold – an extremely  gentle exfoliating and hydrating gel mask. Suitable for all skin types including sensitive and reactive.  Does not contain any harsh grains, has a lovely fresh feel when you are using it. Can be used 3-5 times a week.

As this peel is granule free the ingredients are calming, hydrating and will give an antioxidant protection.  Contains acai berry, coffee berry, aloe vera, vitamin C and green tea.

Cellablation manual exfoliating scrub – suitable for all skins particularly congestion, blackheads, dull and thickened skins.  Cannot be used on active acne.

Cellablation is detoxifying, soothing and gives antioxidant protection.  With key active ingredients such as vitamin E, black bamboo powder, Canadian willowherb, kakadu plum and sea buckthorn fruit oil your skin is in good hands.

Microdermabrasion is a mechanical non-ablative method of exfoliating the skin with total control from the clinician as to how much to exfoliate.  The beauty of microdermabrasion is that it can be incorporated with other treatments such as medi-facials, lactic skin peels and also with potent safe serums to really get the maximum benefit.

Using small different sized diamond tip heads Microdermabrasion will increase cell regeneration whilst gently address skin conditions and imperfections.  There is little or no down-time and can be done in a lunch break.

Chemical skin peels

Chemical skin exfoliants are by far the most pro-active method of exfoliating the skin under  the direction of a clinician.  Ingredients such as salicylic acid (Beta hydroxyl acid from pumpkin seeds), L-Ascorbic acid (chirally corrected Vitamin C), AGP Complex (Vitamin A) used as a treatment once a month or as per your personal prescription will resurface and achieve cell regeneration whilst also treating fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and dull skin.
